Leaders and activists of the ruling Awami League have started to take position at the entranceways of the capital ahead of October 28. They are also on alert at all the thanas and wards.
“No anarchy will be tolerated in the name of the so-called movement. For this, AL men are alert and guarding every police station and ward of the city, including the entrance of the capital,” said the party organising secretary Mirza Azam.
Mentionable, opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will hold a grand rally in the capital on October 28.
Meanwhile, the south gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque will turn into a human sea on that day as the ruling Awami League will hold a rally there. The first ever tunnel of South Asia under the river in Chattogram or Bangabandhu Tunnel will be launched on that day.
Dhaka South and North AL will organise the October 28 rally where a large number of leaders and activists are expected to present. Dhaka north AL will hold a meeting at 3pm today.
