Students attack Uttara Police Station to free detained peers

In protest against the detention of three students by the police, a group of students staged a demonstration in front of Uttara East Police Station before attacking Uttara West Police Station.

The incident took place on Tuesday evening when anti-discrimination student activists carried out the attack at Uttara West Police Station.

During the attack, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Mahadev, who was on duty at the time, sustained injuries, claimed police sources.

According to police sources, the conflict began in the afternoon when students of the anti-discrimination movement organized a meeting on Gausul Azam Avenue in Uttara Sector 13 to form a local committee. During the gathering, the police detained three students—Akash, Robin, and Bappi—and took them to the station. বিস্তারিত
