A platform named Palestine Solidarity Movement, Bangladesh has created a Facebook event titled ‘March for Gaza’.
According to the organizers, this will be the largest gathering in support of Palestine held in Dhaka. They are calling on people of all political affiliations to join the event. The chief imam (Khatib) of National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, Muhammad Abdul Malek, will preside over the gathering.
The gathering was preceded by marches from five key points in the city; Banglamotor, Kakrail Mor, Zero Point, Bakshibazar Mor, and Nilkhet Mor, which all converged at Suhrawardy Udyan by 3:00 PM.
The central program was presided over by Muhammad Abdul Malek, Khatib of National Mosque Baitul Mukarram.

The TSC metro station was closed for the day and special arrangements were made to keep roads open for university admission examinees. Participants were advised to carry personal necessities such as water, umbrellas, and masks, and to maintain cleanliness throughout the program. They were also instructed to uphold discipline and cooperate fully with law enforcement and volunteer teams. The use of political symbols was discouraged, and only the flags of Bangladesh and Palestine, along with creative, non-political placards, were permitted. Attendees were urged to remain vigilant and assist in preventing any disruptive activities, with guidance to seek support from law enforcement if needed.
