BNP leader Ishraque Hossain has called for the immediate resignation of Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan and Information Adviser Mahfuz Alam.
His comments came on Wednesday (May 21) morning as his supporters warned to paralyse whole Dhaka today.

“Following political decorum I am urging Advisers Asif Mahmud and Mahfuz Alam to resign from all responsibilities of the interim government. Since it is apparent that you are associated with a political party, it indicates that may be directly associated in the future. And it is clear that you intend to contest the upcoming elections. So is the demand for resignation unreasonable? ? Or wouldn’t that be the right course of action to put an end to political controversy surrounding you?”, Ishraque wrote in a post on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday morning.
“If you resign, it will enhance the current government’s image of neutrality. I still believe that if you formally join politics and gain experience by working within a party and its organizational framework, you will be able to serve the country and its people more effectively.”
