Govt opens emergency hotlines for Bangladeshis in Iran

In light of the evolving situation in the Middle East, the Government of Bangladesh has launched emergency hotlines to facilitate urgent communication for Bangladeshi nationals residing in Iran and their families back home.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, dedicated helplines have been activated both at the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran and at the ministry’s headquarters in Dhaka to provide immediate assistance and support.

Bangladeshi expatriates in Iran, along with their relatives in Bangladesh, are encouraged to use the following numbers—also available via WhatsApp—for any emergency-related inquiries or support.

The emergency contact numbers for the Bangladesh Embassy in Tehran are: +989308773768 and +989122055455.

Besides, foreign affairs ministry in Dhaka can be contacted at: +8801712012847.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of Bangladeshi citizens abroad through proactive diplomatic and consular measures.
