Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today called for moving forward in creating the future world applying the Scouting experience.
He made the call while addressing the inaugural session of the nationwide Cub Carnival and the Shapla Cub Award distribution ceremony organised by Bangladesh Scouts at the Chief Adviser’s Office here.
Speaking as the chief guest, Prof Yunus said, “Today is a special day in the history of Scouting. Not only for the Scouting in Bangladesh, but for the Scouting in the whole world. Today is a day of special pride.”
He said the history was created with the eight scouts, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country and its people, and to create a new Bangladesh.
“There is no such precedent anywhere else in the history of Scouting. We congratulate the Scouts of Bangladesh on behalf of the whole world for creating the history,” Prof Yunus said.
Congratulating the awardees, he said opening the doors is the responsibility of all scouts including those, who received the award and those who are present at the event today.
“Don’t remain in regret that the doors are closed. You have to open the doors as you have come a long way; because you have come forward, you have become a Scout, while the rest of your school has not. So, it is your responsibility to open the doors for others. If you do not open, this door will remain closed,” the Chief Adviser told the scout members. বিস্তারিত
