Bangladesh recorded two more deaths from dengue and 392 new hospitalisations in the 24 hours between Sunday and Monday morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the deceased were one patient from Barisal and another from Dhaka North City Corporation.
The highest number of new admissions—126 patients—were reported from Barisal Division, followed by Chattogram- 80, Dhaka South City- 64, Rajshahi- 41, Dhaka Division outside city corporations- 31, Khulna- 25, Dhaka North City- 22, and one each in Mymensingh and Rangpur.
During the same period, 260 patients were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 7,077.
Since January 2024, a total of 8,150 people have been hospitalised for dengue, with 34 deaths reported so far this year.
