The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election of the Executive Committee of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) for the 2025-2027 term were held on Thursday at the association’s headquarters at Banani.
A new leadership has been elected to guide the future of private higher education in the country.
Dr Md Sabur Khan of Daffodil International University Chairman has been elected Chairman while Ishtiaque Abedin of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) was elected Secretary General of the APUB.

Benazir Ahmed of North South University and KBM Moin Uddin Chisty of Victoria University of Bangladesh have been elected Vice Chairmen. Md Rezaul Karim of Southeast University has been elected Joint Secretary General and Qayyum Reza Chowdhury of the University of Asia Pacific will serve as Treasurer.
