BNP has imposed a suspension on the post of Fazlur Rahman, a member of the BNP chairperson’s advisory council, for three months.
The party took the decision on Sunday after a review of a written explanation given by Fazlur Rahman in response to a show cause notice.
The show cause notice was issued seeking an explanation for ‘continuously making controversial and misleading comments’ about the July-August uprising.
The party had also sought the explanation as to why organisational action should not be taken against him for the remarks that go against the discipline of the party.
