Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has urged US companies to increase their investments in Bangladesh, highlighting the country’s reform initiatives and growth potential at the US-Bangladesh Executive Business Roundtable titled “Advancing Reform, Resilience and Growth” in New York.
The roundtable was organised by the US-Bangladesh Business Council (USBBC) at a New York hotel, bringing together senior executives of major US firms and members of the Bangladeshi delegation, according to a BSS report Thursday.
Addressing the event, Prof Yunus called on leading US companies, including MetLife, Chevron, and Excelerate Energy, to explore greater opportunities in Bangladesh, his Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said while briefing reporters.
Alam added that six political leaders from Bangladesh, who are accompanying the chief adviser on his US visit, were also present at the meeting and introduced to the top US business leaders.
