The “Youth Self-Defense Training Project,” undertaken by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is set to commence tomorrow (Saturday) at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan (BKSP), according to a press release issued by BKSP today.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain is expected to inaugurate the project as the chief guest.

Young men and women aged between 18 and 35 from across the country are eligible to participate in this training program. However, the training arrangements will be separate for male and female participants. Female participants will receive training at the main BKSP campus in Dhaka, while male participants will undergo training at various regional BKSP centers across the country.

According to officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the primary objective of the initiative is to enhance self-defense capabilities among the youth, as well as to strengthen their confidence, physical fitness, and awareness of personal safety. The training program will focus on practical defense techniques, physical exercises, and psychological preparedness.

In the initial phase, the project will conduct several weeks of training for selected participants, under the supervision of expert instructors who will teach modern and effective self-defense methods. The ministry also plans to expand and regularize the program in the future to reach a wider segment of youth across Bangladesh.
