Mr. KMR Manzoor is one of the celebrated personalities of our Film Industry. He is the Managing Director of Neptune Theatre Ltd (Ovishar Cinema Hall and Neptune Theatre), an owner of M/S Sanglap Chitra, MSAKS Valley Multi- Purpose Agro-Complex and Managing Partner, Haji Badsha Miah Complex. kBorn in May 30 of 1956 at Amulia Khan Bhari of Demra, Dhaka, Mr. KMR Manzoor is the worthy eldest son of Late Alhaj Mukhlesur Rahman Khan (Badsha Miah) and Alhaj Begum Fazilatunnesa. His father was a close associate and ardent supporter of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Since 1946 he had a close relationship with Bangabandhu as a believer of his political ideology and even post’75 he was a well wisher of Awami League and kept close contact with Bangabandhu family.
Having been groomed in the Awami League politics in his early boyhood, Mr. KMR Manzoor colmpleted his S.S.C from Armanitola Government High School in 1972 and H.S.C from Adamji Cantonment College and Dhaka College in 1974. He did his commerce graduation from Kobi Nazrul College in 1977 and engaged himself in his paternal business. Alongside his business activities, Mr. Manzoor is involved with many socio cultural and business organizations. He is a general member of FBCCI, Bangladesh Tobacco Products Distributors Association and Bangladesh Motion Pictures Association. He carried out his responsibilities as Vice President (1992-1994) and General Secretary (1994-1997) of Bangladesh Films Producers and Distributions Association. In 1997 when Bangladesh Producers Association and Distributors Association were merged, Mr. Manzoor was the founding convener of this organization and later on he was the President (2003-2005) and Executive Committee member (2005-2007) of Bangladesh Film Producers Distributors Association. He was also a founder Chairman of Bangladesh Film Producers Distributors Welfare Trust and President of Bangladesh Film Club Limited (2006-2008), (2008-2009) and (2009-2010). A joint convener of Bangladesh Chalaschitra League. Mr. Manzoor played an active role in Mass Movement of ’90, Janatar Mancha, ’96 and was also involved with the Non-cooperation movement in 2006.
In the cultural & sports arena, he is also a Vice President of Bangladeshi Sangskritik Jote, Vice President, Bangladesh Hockey Federation, Chairman, Hockey, Victoria Sporting Club, Member, Dhaka Club Ltd., Life member, Uttara Club Ltd, Advisor, Nirapad Sarak Chai, Life member, Bangladesh Human Rights Commission, Industries & Commerce Secretary, Bangladesh-Bharat Moitry Samity & Vice-president, Bangladesh-Korea Friendship Society. Mr. KMR Manzoor travelled many countries for business purposes including USA, UK, Holland & Germany, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Hongkong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bahraini, Quatar and Dubai.
