The Election Commission (EC) will hold a meeting on Thursday to finalize the code of conduct for political parties and candidates, and to discuss the delimitation of parliamentary constituencies ahead of the upcoming general election.
Scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM at the commission’s headquarters in Dhaka’s Agargaon, the meeting will be chaired by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin.
This will be the EC’s seventh official meeting in its current session.
Confirming the matter, EC Director (Public Relations) M. Shafiqul Alam said that the commission will engage in detailed discussions on the revised electoral boundaries and the framework for ensuring fair conduct by political parties and candidates during the election period.
The decisions made in the meeting are expected to play a significant role in shaping the electoral environment ahead of the 13th national parliamentary elections.
