Three people were killed and four others were injured after a truck collided head-on with a microbus in Dinajpur’s Birganj on Monday morning.
Two of the deceased were identified as microbus driver Manik Hossain, 34, and its passenger Delwar Hossain, 35.
According to police and witnesses, a microbus was heading towards Dinajpur from Thakurgaon amid rain. When it reached Bablu Farm on the Dinajpur-Thakurgaon highway around 7AM, a truck from opposite direction collided with the micro, leaving two dead on the scene.
Fire Service and police members rescued five injured from the spot. But one succumbed to his injuries on the way to Adhunik Sadar Hospital.
Birganj Police Station OC Abdul Gafur said, “Legal action is under process.”
