Ambassador of Afghanistan to Bangladesh Abdul Rahim Oraz paid a farewell call on the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka today.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the support he received from the Foreign Minister and from the Government of Bangladesh during his tenure.
The Foreign Minister appreciated the efforts and contribution of the Ambassador to strengthen bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. He stated Bangladesh’s willingness to deepen bilateral ties with Afghanistan which are based on traditional bonds of friendship and multitude of commonalities.
Ambassador Oraz appreciated the tremendous growth and progress made by Bangladesh especially in the socio-economic sectors during recent years under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He also expressed hope that some of the proposed agreements would be concluded soon to further strengthen the bilateral relations.
The Foreign Minister wished the Ambassador success, good health and prosperity in future.
