The Embassy of Bangladesh in Abu Dhabi has dismissed reports circulating in the media claiming that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has imposed a visa ban on Bangladeshi citizens from January 2026.
“The embassy has noticed that recently, a report was published in print and electronic media of Bangladesh with the headline ‘United Arab Emirates has issued a visa ban for Bangladeshis’ or similar phrases. The news has cited the source of the article published on the website of a so-called visa processing centre called uaevisaonline.com,” the embassy said in a statement today (22 September).
“The embassy would like to inform all concerned that the information published on the said website is not correct. The UAE authorities have confirmed that no such announcement was made by any authority in the UAE,” it added.

“The address given for the company’s head office is in Dubai. The embassy has confirmed that the building/house number used in the address does not exist,” reads the statement.
“The embassy has customer reviews of the company’s past activities. After reviewing, it is seen that most of the customers have complained of being financially cheated.”
The embassy advised Bangladeshis living in the country and the UAE “not to be misled by such baseless news”.
At the same time, the embassy has urged all concerned to be more responsible in disseminating or sharing information or news, adds the statement.
