Former Bangladesh captain Aminul Islam Bulbul has been elected president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) following Sunday’s board elections.
The election, held from 10 AM to 4 PM at a hotel in Dhaka, took place amid controversy after Tamim Iqbal and 21 other director candidates withdrew from the race, alleging government interference.
Despite their withdrawal, the polls went ahead, with voting conducted across three categories to elect 23 directors. Two additional directors will be appointed through the National Sports Council (NSC). Official results were announced around 6 PM.
