The Asian Development Bank (ADB) will organize a Business Opportunities Seminar (BOS) on November 12, 2025, at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC) in Dhaka. The event aims to present current and upcoming business prospects under ADB-financed projects and private sector operations in Bangladesh.
According to ADB, the seminar will be held with the active support of the Economic Relations Division (ERD) of the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with relevant government agencies. The program seeks to strengthen engagement between development partners, private sector entities, and government institutions to foster broader participation in ADB-supported initiatives.
The BOS will also feature the participation of the World Bank, which will present its project portfolio alongside ADB’s sessions. The inclusion of both multilateral development banks is expected to provide participants with a comprehensive overview of investment and procurement opportunities available through international financial institutions operating in Bangladesh.
Contractors, suppliers, consultants, non-governmental organizations, private enterprises, and representatives from major business associations in Bangladesh and abroad are expected to attend. In addition, officials from diplomatic missions and various government agencies will participate in the event.
The seminar will include presentations and panel discussions led by prominent resource speakers. Key participants include Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Ministry of Water Resources; Hoe Yun Jeong, Country Director, Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM), ADB; Jean Pesme, Division Director for Bangladesh and Bhutan, World Bank; Akira Matsunaga, Deputy Country Director, BRM, ADB; Bidyut Kumar Saha, Lead Investment Officer, ADB; S.M. Moin Uddin Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer, Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA); and Ridma Khan, Director, Women’s Chamber of Commerce Initiatives.

Through this event, ADB aims to enhance awareness of its procurement and partnership procedures while creating networking opportunities between domestic and international firms engaged in infrastructure, environment, education, transport, and other priority sectors of Bangladesh’s development agenda.
